On June 22, 2007, "Almanac" encored several humorous "Spectators" commentaries from 1979 as part
of TPT's 50th Anniversary celebration. The spots, produced by Jeff Strate for KTCA-TV station breaks, featured vinegary and
whimsical perspectives on the Minnesota Mystique presented by wags like Allen Brookins-Brown, Jeff Gadbois, Dudley Riggs,
Mark Bradley, Mike Gelfand, Katy Zimmerman, Jay Reilley and Jim Ed Pool.
